Folk's Butterfly Farm started as a hobby with my son Adam
several years ago. During my daughter Kristie’s high school
years, she needed a project to earn her Keystone degree for
the FFA. Claudia and Rick introduced us to a lot of
information about butterflies. Long story short, we started
raising and selling butterflies for a school project and now
we are completely hooked. Kristie has achieved her Keystone
Degree, was chosen as the State Star in Agri-Business,
achieved her American Degree (will be awarded in October
2009) and was selected as a finalst (1 of 16 chosen out of
6,400 applicants nation wide) to compete for the National
Star in Agri-Business in October. All by raising butterflies.

We have recently started to expand a little and raising more
each year. We are increasing the habitat around our home and
encouraging others to do the same. We offer butterflies (all
stages as available) and presentations to many groups in our
community. We are a small farm that strives for quality not
quantity. We are now adding Black Swallowtails and Painted
